China Ocean Engineering Shanghai Company ("COES"), historically known as Shanghai Salvage Company (SSC), was founded in 1951 and has since provided nearly 70 years of services to the marine and offshore industry. COES is a Chinese state-owned company depending from the China Ministry of Transport, globally recognized for providing its know-how in four main business segments: offshore installation & decommissioning, towing, anchor handling and supply, salvage and wreck removal.
Globally, COES has more than 1,900 employees and owns more than 40 specialized vessels including: 7 offshore construction vessels, 10+ ocean-going tugs and 20+ AHTS vessels. Recent additions to our construction fleet include: "Chuang Li" a DP3 (dynamically-positioned, class III) self-propelled crane vessel with 4,500 tons lifting capacity, “Wei Li” a DP2 self-propelled crane vessel with 3,000 tons lifting capacity; “Shen Qian Hao” a DP2 Diving Support Vessel (“DSV”); and “Ju Li” a DP2 offshore support vessel with 700 tons crane lift-capacity. Joining our fleet in 2019-2020 will be a new DP3 Deepwater Reel-lay vessel rated to a maximum 3000m water depth, for both flexible & rigid pipe lay, and also equipped with a 350MT heave-compensated crane and 500m water depth SAT diving system.
